Paul’s Final Blog
So, this is my second to last day here at IMS. I have to say, these last two months have been quite an experience. I have learned and grown so much while working here. I never thought that I would know so much about visas, but here I am.
Recently, I have been thinking a lot about my future. I still do not know what I want to study in school, I do not know what career I want to pursue. I have goals and aspirations but I am unsure as to which path I should follow to achieve them.
Despite my obvious lack of direction in life, I can say that this summer I have learned a lot about opportunities. I have realized that a big part of personal success is not simply waiting for something to come along; it is creating opportunities that will help you grow and improve. I have learned that in life, you do not necessarily need to see miles down the road; progress is simply trusting your first step and taking it.
This internship has given me the opportunity to experience professional life in Japan. It has given me new found motivation to study and to learn. It has given me a fresh realization that there is so much about this world that I do not know. I am very grateful to everyone who worked with me and helped me learn along the way.
Thank you everyone at IMS and JIPT for making this internship a memorable experience.
See you again!
