Trip to Sapporo

Hello Everyone. This is the current Intern here at IMS, Easton.

I had a very fun experience last week. Thanks to the help of IMS, I was lucky enough to be able to go to on a little trip to Sapporo. I have been wanting to go to Sapporo for a very long time now but never thought that I would ever make it. The day of my flight, I eagerly waited for my airplane to arrive so that I could go to Sapporo as soon as possible. Upon arrival, I was looking out the window of the airplane, I immediately noticed how colorful and beautiful Hokkaido is. It was fun to see the colors of fall for the first time in a long time.  As soon as I arrived I immediately got hit with the great wall of coldness.  I unfortunately only brought short sleeve shirts and no jacket, but because I was having so much fun I forgot how cold I was actually getting every time I walked outside. I was also very lucky to be able to meet a couple of my friends that I haven’t seen in about 2 years. We of course ate foods that are very famous in Sapporo, such as: miso ramen, sashimi (my favorite) and the BEST ice cream one can get their hands on.

Because Sapporo is too big to visit in a short amount of time, I have decided that I need to go once again to finish my adventures in Hokkaido. There are still too many places to see. Just next time I will remember to dress warmer and bring a jacket:) I’m thankful for all my IMS friends who helped me be able to go.
